Honest firewood, delivered by your neighbors
Southeast Texas Firewood is a local ordering board for firewood in Silsbee, Buna, Evadale and Lumberton. We started it to make buying firewood simple to trust.
Why we started
In Southeast Texas, people burn a lot of wood, and most of it is bought the old way: a Facebook post, a sign on the side of the road, or a number passed along by someone's cousin. Plenty of those sellers are honest. But the short cord is a well-known problem in this business. A load looks like a cord and isn't, the price is different from what was said, or the wood isn't as dry as promised, and there's nobody to hold accountable.
We wanted to fix the basics. Every size has a posted price and a defined stacked measurement. Every delivery comes with a photo. Every delivery gets rated, and the rating stays on the runner's record where the next customer can see it. And all the money is handled in person, between you and the runner, after you've seen the wood.
The Southeast Texas angle
This is built for here. The runners are people who live and work in the Golden Triangle area, they know the roads and the wood, and we start with four towns (Silsbee, Lumberton, Buna and Evadale) so we can do those well before we go anywhere else.
What we are
A bulletin board. We list orders, show the posted prices, let approved runners take jobs, and keep delivery photos and ratings. We approve runners by hand and can remove any of them.
What we aren't
We don't sell the firewood, we don't employ the runners, and we don't handle any money. Every sale is between you and your runner. This keeps things simple, and it means the website never has your card number.

True measurements
A cord is 4 × 8 × 4 feet stacked, and half and quarter cords are exactly half and a quarter of that. No "face cords", no guessing.
Posted, fair prices
One price per size, shown before you order. Runners can't charge more at the door.
Accountability
Photos, ratings and reviewed comments. Runners with poor records are flagged and can be removed.
Fair to runners too
Ratings are about the wood and the delivery, never the person. Runners can reply to comments, and they can note customers who don't show up or pay.
Your privacy
Only the runner you're matched with sees your address and phone, and we don't sell your information.
